The Boston Police Department just broke up the Occupy Boston protests, arrested hundreds of protesters including military veterans.  This is a clear violation of the 1st amendment right to peaceably assemble.

It is our duty to stand up to violations of our Constitutional rights whenever and wherever they are threatened.  Please consider calling the Mayor of Boston, Thomas Menino, and respectfully telling his office that you support the right of Occupy Boston to peaceably assemble.

Also, please consider calling the Boston Police Department and respectfully telling them that you disagree with the way that they treated the protesters and ask them to allow the protests to continue.  After all, they are part of the 99% also!

The following is a statement from Occupy Boston, read the entire article here:

“Following this massive outpouring of public support, dozens of police vans descended on the Greenway, with batons drawn, assaulting protesters and arresting more than one-hundred people. Members of Veterans for Peace carrying American flags were pushed to the ground and their flags trampled as the police hauled them away.”
